Job overview

The HR systems team is responsible for the production of all people related management information using system such as ESR and e roster systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to join and be part of the Team providing key strategic information to the Trust.

The successful applicant will be required to update people information into the various HR systems the Trusts using to maintain employment records.

Main duties of the job

This is a unique, evolving role, and it is essential that you can adapt to the changing requirements of the ESR system that result from Dept of Health and Trust initiatives.

This is a generic role that will work as part of a team to deliver accurate, timely and customer focused services within the HR Systems Team to employees of the Trust and other clients. The specific purpose of the Data Input roles is to process routine ESR inputs, which include Absence, Timesheets and Expense claims. Additionally the roles will provide administrative support to the function.

There is a requirement to work across teams within Employment Services to ensure that work pressures are covered and service standards are maintained. Relevant cross team training will be supported by appropriate periodic rotation between teams.

Working for our organisation

HR Systems Team are an integral part of the People and Organisational Development Directorate. The team works closely with P&OD colleagues and wider Trust management teams.

The team reside at Doncaster Royal infirmary. We offer flexible working arrangements which includes some home working after full training has been completed. The office hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with flexible start and finish times.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Your focus will be to support the production of key people related data accurately and on time to the Trust managers and external agencies such as NHS Improvement. Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the checking and processing of timesheets claims
  • Checking salary sacrifice applications and invoice matching
  • Updating absence information into HR systems
  • Support for the e roster system updating routine systems changes
  • Responding to routine enquires both over the phone and email

Ideally applicants will have experience in the use of ESR and e roster systems as is demonstrable evidence of producing and validating management information following from the system generated data.
