An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Diabetes Specialist Nurse Team at DBTHFT

Do you have a passion for Diabetes Care?

As part of the NHS England Diabetes transformation fund, Doncaster & Bassetlaw hospitals are implementing structured Type 1 diabetes education i.e. DAFNE (Dose adjustment for Normal Eating). 1 x 34.5 hours part time Band 6 Diabetes Nurse Practitioner is required who demonstrates a strong desire to deliver patient education and following National training will become a DAFNE educator.

When not involved in the education programme the Diabetes nurse practitioner will be working alongside the Diabetes Specialist nurse teams at either Doncaster or Bassetlaw hospital in an in-patient or out-patient setting.

There is a need for great flexibility in the role and there will be an expectation to move between sites as the service demands.
