Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (DBTH) is one of Yorkshire’s leading acute trusts, serving a population of more than 420,000 across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire and the surrounding areas.

Hosting three main hospital sites and several additional services, the Trust is one of only five Teaching Hospitals in Yorkshire. Employing over 6,000 people, every member of staff contributes to patient care, and has a personal stake in their future successes and achievements. As the Trust operates over a number of sites, you will gain a sense of a large and expansive organisation; however it is very important that the Trust has a great sense of community and identity, with an accessible leadership team and a great sense that each and every member of the team can make a difference.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join the Finance Department. This role is an outstanding opportunity to progress and gain experience within a forward thinking organisation and team; which recently won the HFMA Yorkshire and Humber Finance Team of the Year Award in 2019.

As part of the Business Partnering team, you will provide key financial management support to Corporate Directors. The post holder will provide budget holders with high quality financial management information and insight to meet the needs of the Trust, enabling it to deliver value for money and achieve its challenging financial targets. This includes providing expert financial advice, budget management support, and playing a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of the Trust’s financial plan and Cost Improvement Programme. The role will also lead on the financial and economic appraisal of business cases and advise and implement financial strategy and policy.

We are looking for a Finance Business Partner with experience, drive, ambition and a passion for excellence. The successful post-holder will be a qualified Accountant with senior level post qualification experience. Ideally you will have previous NHS provider experience, and possess a desire to work within a progressive organisation.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to interpret and explain complex financial concepts and information to non-financial managers, and an ability to demonstrate initiative. Excellent communication and IT skills are also essential. Critical to the role is the ability to develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders, with the ability to challenge and influence others.

The post holder will also ensure processes are efficient, effective and consistent across all areas they are responsible for, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. You will be someone who pushes the boundaries, who wants to be part of a finance team which aims for innovation and excellence.

If you are looking for a position to join an exciting and vibrant team within a large teaching hospital Trust, then please do not hesitate to apply for this exceptional opportunity.
