Critical Care & Anaesthetic services are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and inclusive leader to take on the role as Band 7 Senior Sister / Charge Nurse. We welcome applicants with strong leadership abilities and extensive critical care experience. The successful candidate will be a clinical expert within critical care services and have evidence of leadership development and being involved in service change.

At Doncaster we have 20 beds – combined level 3 (ICU) and level 2 (HDU) in this associate teaching hospital. We care for a wide range of adult critically ill medical, surgical and elective cases.

We have a fully comprehensive career pathway offering induction, preceptorship and critical care qualifications as well as advanced clinical skills and leadership opportunities for experienced staff. We have a critical care nurse consultant and clinical nurse educators to support the staff and there are many opportunities to be involved in service improvement and research projects.

We have a great working relationship with allied health professionals who support our patients and our medical team who provide 24 hour cover to the unit and help support and educate our nurses. For experienced critical care nurses there are very good opportunities for career progression.
