An exciting opportunity has arisen at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to fill a newly created role that will support the existing IT Service Desk, providing provide basic 1st Line IT Support across all Trust sites either by telephone, face to face or via email.

As the first point of contact for our service users and other professionals, you will need to have excellent customer service skills and a helpful and friendly approach.
It is important that you are able to work effectively in a fast paced office environment, handling large volumes of telephone calls, some of which may be challenging to deal with. You will need to be flexible and adaptable to the varying demands and changing circumstances and priorities of the services. Communication and team working are essential qualities to succeed in this role.

You should be able to use a PC and standard software packages such as Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.

Essential requirements for this post are excellent keyboard skills, and a good standard of education (e.g. 5 GCSE’s including Grade C or above in English and Mathematics or equivalent). Experience of working in a call handling environment or previous experience of working in the NHS would be advantageous.
