We have exciting and challenging opportunities for Registered Nurses to develop their skills within the Respiratory Unit at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
The Unit benefits from ward sister cover 24 hours a day to ensure you as a registered nurse will feel supported. You will be supported with an induction program and a ward based educational team to develop and support you in your new role.
As a Staff Nurse working on the ward you will be a valued member of the team, providing high quality care to patients, in a professional, compassionate and competent manner. You will be able to contribute ideas and support clinical initiatives in order to provide evidence based patient care.
The Unit is actively committed to looking at ways to improve patient experience, ensuring we create an environment where patients feel safe, cared for and confident in treatment they receive. We strive to learn from our mistakes and have an open and honest culture. The Nightingale Suite which offers patients and relatives the opportunity to be cared for in an environment conducive to support care for end of life, has been developed by the team.
Additionally the unit has created a respiratory acute bay; this will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills further when nursing acute respiratory patients. The acute bay provides enhanced care for patients requiring intensive input, for example non-invasive ventilated patients.
