  • (15 hours per week) – Lecturer two years fixed term contract with DN Colleges Group

Due to a vacancy arising within the Education team at DBTHFT and the increase in Health and Social Care education delivery in partnership with DN Colleges, the opportunity has arisen to appoint a Clinical Educator/Lecturer. This innovative and unique opportunity will enhance the delivery of health and social care education to all learners.

The post will consist of 22.5 hours per week based at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a substantive post, working within the Vocational Education Team and 15 hours per week at Doncaster College and University Centre for a fixed term of 2 years.

The Vocational Clinical Educator/Lecturer will ensure that both individual staff and service needs are met and that the process for doing so confirms with organisational training and development objectives. As a proactive member of the team your primary duties will be to:

  • Facilitate the delivery of the Foundations of Care Induction programme including planning, developing, monitoring and evaluating the programme content.
  • Support staff in completing the Care Certificate, by providing pastoral support and undertaking assessments.
  • Support staff with the timely completion of Apprenticeships of all levels, monitoring the progress of learners, providing pastoral and tutorial support as well as undertaking regular assessments of learners in clinical practice as detailed by the education provider and the relevant clinical areas within the Trust.
  • Support the national Widening Participation Agenda by identifying suitable work experience placements in line with the Trusts work experience guidelines and promote engagement opportunities throughout the local community.
  • Deliver Health and Social Care related subjects to learners aged 16+ (DN Colleges)

Essentially, you will have significant, recognised post qualification clinical experience together with experience of working in multi disciplinary environments. Evidence of experience in delivering training and education and undertaking assessments of learners are essential requirements.
