Father and Son take on running challenge for DBTH

Seven year old Corey and his dad, Andy Halliday, are taking on a mammoth 100 mile running challenge to raise funds for Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals.

Corey and his dad are completing the 100 miles in small chunks during their daily exercise in lockdown. Running around five miles each session, Corey is well on the way to covering the 100 miles for the charity.

Corey said: “I’m doing it to raise money for the NHS so they can buy face masks, equipment and other stuff. The NHS are doing a really good job trying to help people with the virus and keep us all safe. I go out and clap every Thursday but I wanted to do something more for them so that is why I set myself this challenge.”

Corey’s original target was £100, which he smashed straight away! He is already well on his way to reaching his new target of £500 and you can support him to get to his goal here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/corey-halliday
