Speaking after the event, Suzy Brain England OBE, Trust Chair, said: “When it comes to the Star Awards, I am always impressed by the achievements of our colleagues. Every year I leave the ceremony extremely proud, having heard stories of how colleagues have gone that extra mile for the sake of our patients. I know our colleagues work tirelessly every day to put the patient at the heart of our care, but this annual ‘thank you’ event is the perfect opportunity to show that these contributions are truly valued.
“Although we have to pick winners for each prize, I just want to express my gratitude to all those who were nominated and to those who did the nominating.
