We have a strong ethos of multi-professional learning, service development and innovation and the Trust is one of only five Teaching Hospitals in Yorkshire, achieving this title in January 2017.

We are proud of our very friendly and welcoming unit and look forward to working with new colleagues.

There has never been a better time to join our team.

  • Everyone counts – we treat each other with courtesy, honesty, respect and dignity.
  • Committed to quality and continuously improving patient and staff experience.
  • Always caring and compassionate.
  • Responsible and accountable for our actions – taking price in our work and Organisation.
  • Encouraging and valuing our diverse staff and rewarding ability, creativity and innovation

Band 5 midwives will be supported in a robust rotational preceptorship programme that encompasses all aspects of maternity care across all Trust sites, including inpatient wards, labour wards, antenatal clinics, triage, and community settings. Following successful completion of all required preceptorship competencies and placement allocations you will be offered a Band 6 Rotational Midwife post.

All midwives are also supported in practice and professional development through clinical leadership, which includes the Care Group leadership and management teams, the Education team and Professional Midwifery Advocates.

If you can see yourself as an effective member of a committed and ‘woman focused’ team, embracing a strong midwifery ethos you sound just the team member we are looking for!
