Remembering the loss of a baby – Special Memories Services

Families who have experienced the death of a baby can remember their loss at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals annual ‘special memories service’ held on Wednesday 6 June at 7.00pm in the chapel at Bassetlaw Hospital.

Anyone who has been affected by a pregnancy loss, stillbirth or neonatal death is invited to attend. Some parents come to remember a recent loss and some come to remember a baby who died some years ago.

Carol Lee, Bereavement Midwife at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals, said: “We warmly invite you to this service to give you an opportunity for you to remember your baby, gathering with others who have had similar experiences.

“This is a service that we organise every year and many find it helpful to come along and receive some mutual support from other local families.”

The chaplaincy team extend a warm invitation to all families and staff who have been affected by the loss of a baby in pregnancy. Refreshments will be served after the service.
