We Care Into the Future: Doncaster

A brilliant day for year 8 students to get up close, and even hands-on, with simulations and interactive displays on health and social careers.

We would like to invite year eight students from across Doncaster to attend the ‘We Care Into the future’ event which will take place on Friday 5 July 2024 at the Doncaster Dome.

Organised in partnership between Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals (DBTH), Hall Cross Academy and other health, social care and educational organisations, this is an opportunity to understand what the NHS and care sector has to offer local students upon completing school.

The event will take place throughout the day and will feature nurses, doctors and other health professionals representing a wide range of careers and opportunities within local services. The event will provide an insight into the patient’s journey through a hospital, with a number of stalls, stands and interactive booths to visit.

At DBTH alone, there are over 250 different roles, from patient-facing clinicians to those in crucial back-office functions. This is an opportunity for your students to discover what the NHS and public sector offer them as they look towards their future in health.

Secure your school’s place today!

The deadline for confirming your school’s attendance is Friday 8 December. There are limited places so please do not delay in securing your place at the event.

If you have any questions or require further assistance, please email dbth.vocationalsupport@nhs.net
