As a Trust, we are seeking to appoint a Research Sister/Charge Nurse to work across all services within the Trust. The post-holder will be based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary with some cross site commitment required.This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated nurse to work as an integrated member of a wider multidisciplinary team, to drive service transformation through research.

The post is ideal for a nurse seeking further professional development. The post holder will be working as part of specialist teams in both acute and outpatient settings.This role requires the post holder to have excellent organisational, communication and time management skills. The post holder must have a flexible approach to work. Proven experience of team leadership is essential. The successful candidate will need to meet the challenge of working both autonomously and within a team, in a busy clinical environment.The post holder will support a broad range of research, including projects adopted onto the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) portfolio.

The post holder will coordinate patient recruitment and participation in clinical research, whilst ensuring optimal patient care is maintained. The post holder will support across all specialties as required.The post holder will work with in full accordance with the principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), within the legal framework of the EU Clinical Trials Directive, and other applicable research legislation.

Research experience would be preferable, but is not essential as full training will be provided.
