We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and progressive Pharmacy Technician to join our department.

Based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, this full time post will provide the successful applicant with experience in in-patient dispensing using two automated machines, aseptic dispensing skills and ward based medicine optimisation experience. Starting at a Band 4 we have a comprehensive supervised training package which supports progression to Band 5 after 18 months and completion of competency assessments.

The department has implemented a Hospital Pharmacy Transformation Project to meet the demands of providing an urgent care seven day service. We operate extended opening hours (9am – 8:30pm weekdays) and the successful applicant will be required to participate in a shift system to cover evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays. The successful applicant will also be expected to work across all trust sites.

You will have a BTEC level 3 Pharmaceutical Science  alongside NVQ level 3 Pharmaceutical Skills qualification or equivalent and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Post qualification experience is desirable but not essential.

Applicants should also have excellent communication and organisational skills and be willing to work towards achieving extended role accreditation and validation programmes.
