Freemasons make generous donation to Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospital Radio

Christmas has come early to Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals radio station, Trust AM, following a visit from Bassetlaw Freemasons with a cheque for the sum of £1,000.

The Freemasons visited Trust AM at their studios in Bassetlaw Hospital last week to present them with the cheque which will be used towards on-going improvements to equipment.

Launched in 1972, Trust AM have been broadcasting for over 40 years across Bassetlaw and Doncaster providing a 24 hour free radio station to hospital patients and Bassetlaw residents on 1278 mw.  The station is run entirely by volunteers and provides an invaluable service and great local information.

The station is in the process of fundraising to replace outdated equipment and this cheque couldn’t have come at a better time, explains Trust AM volunteer, Trevor Burton: “We are so grateful to Bassetlaw Freemasons for their continued support.  Trust AM is a charity and donations like this one are what keep the station on air.

“This money will be used to replace old equipment to help us to continue to provide a service which is so important to our patients.”
