An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed, self-driven, motivated midwife who has the enthusiasm and passion to drive forward the infant feeding service and support staff to make the changes required to implement best practice at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The post holder will lead on the planning, implementation, maintenance and reaccreditation of UNICEF BFI standards across the service. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team you will ensure that a co-ordinated approach to infant feeding support and management is adopted.

The post holder will combine the education and training of clinical and support staff with expert direct clinical care. He/she will provide professional leadership and expert knowledge and advice around infant feeding. You will have the ability to facilitate learning with multi-disciplinary groups.Audit and action planning experience is essential as you will be required to monitor and measure implementation of best practice standards for pregnant mothers, breastfeeding women and their infants, including audits of all term babies admitted to NNU across both sites.

This post takes a lead in practice development in relation to infant feeding and the post holder will have the ability to develop and lead on infant feeding initiatives/guidelines in response to local, regional and national guidance.
