Legacy Church donates Christmas hampers for new mums

Doncaster’s Legacy Church has donated twenty luxury hampers to DRI’s Maternity Ward.

The beautifully wrapped gifts containing a variety of toiletries, nappies and baby clothes will be distributed to women who give birth over the festive period.

The congregation of the multi generation church, based on Shaw Wood Business Park, Wheatley, have kindly donated toys to the Children Ward’s at Doncaster Royal Infirmary for the last six years, and this year have extended their offering to include gifts for new mums and food hampers to be shared amongst staff.

Charlotte Hibbert, Children’s Pastor at the Legacy Church, said: “It’s the time of year when we like to spread some Christmas spirit and we cannot think of a better place to do so. Our congregation has worked hard buying, sorting and packing up the hampers, we really hope that the new-mums enjoy  them. We can’t wait to come back to deliver gifts for the Children’s Ward.”

Iqbal Lall, Play and Activity Leader at the Trust, said: “On behalf of the Trust, I’d like to say  a big thank you to Charlotte and the Legacy Church for the beautiful hampers. I’m sure they will be very well received by new mums on our Maternity Ward and the staff hamper has certainly  gone down a treat! Thanks again to everyone involved for their generosity and bringing Christmas cheer to the hospital”
