A Baby Memorial Service for families who have experienced the loss of a baby is being held at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

Anyone who has been affected by a pregnancy loss, stillbirth or neonatal death is invited to attend on Sunday 16 July to remember their little ones.

The service takes place at 2pm in the Main Outpatient Department (near the Emergency Department) at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. The service will be conducted by Chaplain Simon Russell. Light refreshments will be served after.

Carol Lee, Bereavement Support Midwife at the Trust, said: “This Baby Memorial Service offers parents, families and friends the opportunity to remember their baby and to meet with others who have experienced a similar loss.”

There is also a Baby Remembrance Book that will be available to view after the service. The individual inscriptions are handcrafted and families receive a personal copy of their baby’s entry. There will also be an opportunity to release a balloon in memory of their baby.

If you’d like more information about the memorial service, please contact the Maternity Bereavement Team on 01302 642796 or Mobile 07825063432.
