Due to the challenges presented by Covid-19, and the related personal protective equipment (PPE) which must be worn, some phone calls are ringing off before being answered. For this, we apologise for any potential distress this may cause, particularly at such a sensitive time.
From today (14 December) we will be piloting a new support system, with phone calls triaged to a specific number and call-backs organised later in the day. Initially this will be trialled within our Respiratory Unit (Wards 20 and 21).
Please use the numbers 01302 644074 or 644067 to call Respiratory from now on.
If you are struggling to contact a relative receiving inpatient care in a different area, please contact Communications.DBTH@nhs.net with the name of the person you are wishing to contact, which ward/service they are under, your contact number and your relationship with the individual.
