Local hospitals asks for feedback on Visitor’s Charter

Health professionals at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals (DBTH) are reaching out to the public for feedback on a newly drafted Visitor’s Charter.

This document outlines what colleagues and visitors should expect of one another, when receiving or delivering care at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Montagu Hospital, and Bassetlaw Hospital.

Commenting on the Charter, Simon Brown, Deputy Chief Nurse, said: “At Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals, we recognise the significance of collaboration with visitors in ensuring the best possible care for our patients. This charter, we believe, sets out the clear expectations that visitors can expect of us, and vice versa.

“Friends, family and loved ones play a crucial role in the care of our patients. This document is about involving and acknowledging their invaluable contributions, and establishing clear guidelines for interactions and conduct within our hospital premises.”

To ensure that the Visitor’s Charter is reflective of the community’s needs and expectations, the Trust is inviting local people to provide their feedback on the charter. This feedback will play a vital role in refining the Charter to better serve both patients and visitors.
