Cancer services at DBTH

Our experienced and skilled professionals specialise in many disciplines and come together to work as multi-disciplinary teams (MDT) to ensure the best possible care for patients.

All teams include a clinical nurse specialist to support patients through all stages of their diagnosis and treatment. The teams meet regularly to make recommendations for individualised care which is discussed with each patient at a clinic appointment or over the phone.

The service sits within the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Cancer Alliance which is committed to helping more people to survive cancer and to support people in the region to live well with and beyond cancer.

The Trust works closely with Sheffield Teaching Hospitals to provide treatments for patients with less common cancers and radiotherapy.
