This post will be part of our Strategy and Transformation team at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (DBTH).  We are a motivated and dynamic team, with skills in service development, programme management and quality improvement.  Our main focus is to support the Trust in its delivery of the Strategic Direction working towards the Trusts ambition of being the “safest hospital in the country, outstanding in all we do”.

To achieve our ambition we are planning an extensive capital development to allow us to redesign how care is provided and improve patient and staff experience. We therefore have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join us to work on the development of redesigned “front door” Urgent & Emergency Care services on the Bassetlaw Hospital site.

You will have proven Project Management and service redesign skill to deliver the identified benefits of the projects, as well as being familiar with coaching teams through change.   You will be responsible for setting up governance structures and then co-coordinating implementation on behalf of the divisional team.  You will work closely with the capital project manager and your main areas of focus will be co-coordinating working groups and ensuring that the projects are planned and managed in accordance with agreed challenging time frames and resources available.

Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders will be fundamental to making this successful.  So, we are looking for a person with excellent interpersonal skills, who works hard as part of a team and also empowers others to take forward improvements.  You will work as part of the Strategy & Transformation team but will have day to day responsibility to the relevant general manager.  You will also be required to provide support to the director who will be acting as the project SRO.

Experience in capital projects and LEAN flow would be advantageous but not essential.

The chosen candidate should be motivated and ambitious with a “Can Do”, caring attitude. You should have a strong focus on delivery and be able to work under quick timescales in a fast paced environment.
