We are looking for an experienced midwife to join our senior team to lead maternity services into the future. The service is going through a period of transformation, and we are looking for an inspirational leader to work with the clinical teams and management to provide the best maternity services.

You will work with an enthusiastic team who are supported by a Quality Improvement team to make changes to the way we deliver services. The post will involve managing Intrapartum Care at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals. You will work with an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent service to our women and their families.

We work closely with our partners and women and families to improve services in the Doncaster and Bassetlaw area.If you want to get involved in implementing better births, improving outcomes and being the best this job is for you.

The maternity unit is forward thinking and innovative and is currently reviewing how the vision within ‘Better Births’ can be locally implemented. You will have the opportunity to increase your knowledge and experience of working at a strategic level to understand national and regional goals and deliver this into effective service change. This will particularly focus on implementation of continuity of care models, personalised care planning and increasing the offer of services

This is a Senior Midwifery role within the organisation and there is an expectation that the post holder will fully participate in clinical and professional leadership whilst maintaining clinical skills.

You will be fully supported with a robust induction programme and receive continued clinical leadership, practice and professional development from the Head of Midwifery and Matrons alongside our Education team.
