Members of the public are invited to hear about the work and achievements of Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals at its Annual Members’ Meeting on Wednesday 20 September.

The event will start at 4.00pm in the Fred and Ann Green Rehabilitation Centre at Montagu Hospital in Mexborough and will showcase and celebrate the improvements to safe, high quality patient care, progress on financial recovery and the achievement of becoming one of only two Teaching Hospitals in the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw region.

The formal meeting will start at 5.00pm and will feature presentations of the Trust’s Annual Report & Accounts 2016/17 and an opportunity to hear from the DBTH executive team and ask questions on the Trust’s performance.

Suzy Brain England, Chair of the Board at the Trust, said: “It has been a challenging and exciting year – all of which points towards a bright future for our patients, services and staff.

“As part of our exhibition we will be showcasing our newly developed strategic direction, setting out what we want to achieve over the next five years.  We look forward to welcoming people from across Doncaster, Bassetlaw and Mexborough to discuss our plans for the future and hear about our achievements.”

Guests will have the opportunity to visit some of the many displays on health topics and developments at the Trust and to meet local governors who represent the views of patients, public, staff and partner organisations.

The Patient Experience Team will also be available to discuss any queries or concerns regarding the care and treatment of individual patients.

Copies of the Trust’s Annual Report & Accounts 2016/17 will be available at the Annual Members’ Meeting, or by request to the Trust Board Secretary’s office on 01302 644158 or email foundation.office@dbh.nhs.uk.
