Referral to the RDS

Below we have outlined the process for referral to the Rapid Diagnostic Service (RDS).

Your GP has referred you to the DBTH Rapid Diagnostic Service (RDS) because they feel your symptoms should be investigated by a hospital specialist as soon as possible.

This is so the cause can be diagnosed quickly. Your symptoms may be caused by a number of common conditions and, although there may be a concern that your symptoms could suggest cancer, for 9 out of 10 people this is not the case.
