Our Patient Star award gives patients, families and carers the opportunity to recognise an individual colleague or team for the care, kindness or support they have provided.
Nominate your Patient Star
You can nominate any colleague or team at DBTH who has made a positive difference to your experience.
It could be someone who:
- Treated you or a loved one with exceptional kindness or compassion.
- Went above and beyond to help.
- Made you feel listened to, reassured or well cared for.
- Made a difficult experience that little bit easier.
- Provided care or support that you feel deserves special recognition.
They could work at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Bassetlaw Hospital, Montagu Hospital or one of our community services.

How to nominate
Simply complete our short nomination form and tell us:
- Who you would like to recognise.
- What they did.
- Why it meant so much to you or your family.
The more detail you can give us, the better. A particular example or moment can really help us understand why they deserve to be recognised.

What happens next?
Each month, we review the nominations we have received and select a Patient Star.
The winner can be an individual colleague or a whole team and will receive:
- A certificate recognising their achievement.
- A £25 shopping voucher.
- Recognition through DBTH communications and shortlisting for our annual Star Awards.
Your nomination will also help us make sure colleagues know when the care and support they provide has made a real difference.
