Our restaurants and eateries are available at the following times, as well as our weekly menus.

Doncaster Royal Infirmary

  • East Ward Block – Hot kitchen
    Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6pm.
    Saturday and Sunday closed.
  • East ward block – Subway
    Monday to Friday 7.30am to 9pm
    Saturday and Sunday 8am to 6pm, for ‘value’ meal provision.
  • Gate 4 entrance – Costa
    Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm
    Saturday and Sunday 10am to 3pm.
  • Women’s and Children’s Hospital café
    Monday to Friday 9am to 2pm
    Saturday and Sunday closed.
  • Guest caterers – all sites and dependent on week – examples include Fish and Chips, Burritos, Krepes and much more.

Bassetlaw Hospital

  • Main restaurant
    Monday to Friday 8am to 7pm
    Saturday and Sunday 8am to 7pm
  • Express vending is available 24/7 in main reception and Emergency Department, a Bon Appetit food vending machine is available 24/7 for hot and cold snacks & cold drinks, in the main entrance.
  • Guest caterers – all sites and dependent on week – examples include Fish and Chips, Burritos, Krepes and much more.

Montagu Hospital

  • Main restaurant
    Hot Drinks & Cold Food vending machines are available 24/7 on the link corridor

Shuttle Bus Services and Park & Ride

Where is the Park and Ride?

The Park and Ride is situated opposite the Doncaster Race Course on Leger Way. It can be accessed via the aforementioned road, or Town Moor Avenue. The designated car park for this facility is to the far end near to Whitby’s Fish and Chip shop.

The shuttle service

Available for hospital staff, patients and visitors, this shuttle runs between the Park and Ride facility on Leger Way and South Block Outpatients near to Gate 6 of Doncaster Royal Infirmary. The shuttle operates Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) between 5.50am and 10.00pm. This service costs 50p per journey for patients and visitors – staff ride for free just show your NHS badge.

The bus journey normally takes between five and seven minutes. Please allow adequate time to park your vehicle and ride up to the hospital in good time for your appointment. The shuttle stop is at the far end of the car park, near to Whitby’s Fish and Chip shop. There is a small platform, with seating next to a sign outlining the time table.

Please note, as per current COVID-19 restrictions, we ask all users of the shuttle to wear an appropriate face covering unless medically exempt.

Pick up point at Doncaster Royal Infirmary

The current and temporary pick-up and drop-off point at Doncaster Royal Infirmary is outside South Block.

Leaving your vehicle

There is ample room for your vehicle in this car park. Please can we remind visitors, patients and staff to park within the marked bays.

We have lighting available in this area, while security colleagues regularly patrol.

Walking from the Park and Ride to Doncaster Royal Infirmary

When the weather is fine, and if you fancy the exercise, it is perfectly possible to walk from the Park and Ride to Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

The journey, which is just over half a mile will take you between 12 and 15 minutes on foot, and below are the suggested routes you can take.

Shuttle bus [please note, all shuttles currently stop and pick-up at South Block Outpatients at DRI]

Bassetlaw Hospital and Doncaster Royal Infirmary: The Trust provides a free direct shuttle service to link the hospital sites of Bassetlaw Hospital and Doncaster Royal Infirmary, this service between the two sites takes approximately 30 minutes.  To book a seat on the shuttle service please telephone the Transport Department on 01909 572424. Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Montagu Hospital: This free service runs directly between the two sites and takes approximately 30 minutes. This is funded by Fred & Ann Green’s Legacy. The bus stop at Montagu is outside the main entrance on Adwick Road and at DRI outside the main Outpatients entrance at Gate 3. To guarantee a seat on the bus, telephone free phone number on any day Monday to Friday between 9am and 4.40pm on 0800 953 66 33.  If unable to book in advance seats will be allocated subject to availability. Parking:

All of our sites have on-site car parking. The charges are the following for the public.

  • One hour: £1.60
  • One to two hours: £2.90
  • Two to four hours: £4.20
  • Four to six hours: £5.10
  • Over six hours: £8.70

The following staff permits are available:

  • Blue £45.90 per month – Allocated parking to a specific space on the site you are based at, also access to unallocated parking on other Trust sites.
  • Green £23.46 per month – Unallocated parking in specific car parks (not patient ones). You are not guaranteed a parking space with this permit if site is particularly busy.
  • Yellow £7.14 per month – Access to all patient car parks between the hours of 6.15pm to 8.45am each week day (with a one-hour grace period in the morning if you are running late), and full access on weekends and bank holidays. This permit also allows cross-site parking in staff car parks at any time if you are based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and visiting Bassetlaw Hospital or Montagu Hospital.
  • Concessionary – Available subject to any waiting list as unallocated parking — qualifying status for concessions is to work 22.5 hours per week or less or be AFC Band 3 mid spinal point 9 or below.

Blue Badge Holders

Parking is free for blue badge holders, simply display your badge and enter the badge number on the parking machine.
