Once again, we have seen a decline in the number of patients with COVID-19, with the overall figure standing at 54, at the time of writing.
Taken by hospital site, this is 38 at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, 11 at Bassetlaw Hospital and five at Montagu Hospital. Of these patients, nine require critical care, and the age range is between 31 and 94.
Our team continue to do a great job, while our communities continue to support local efforts to minimise infection rates, as well as put their arm forward when called to get the vaccine. There are reasons to be optimistic at the moment, and this is why it is more important than ever that we observe hands, face and space, adhere to guidance, and do our best to ensure we don’t see another local spike in activity.
The roadmap is clear, and we all know what we need to do to ensure restrictions are eased and we can regain a sense of normality. Keep doing what you’re doing and let’s make sure we don’t fall at the final hurdle.
