Our young patients were blown away and entertained by the talents of Freddie, who works on behalf of POD Children’s Charity.
From his special box of magic, Freddie performed a myriad of tricks, from rope that reties itself after being cut, to metal hoops that link and unlink in the blink of an eye.

Freddie has been attending the Trust for several years, distracting our young patients and providing playful moments while visiting our hospitals.
Based in Nottingham, Freddie has a wonderful ability with the children and always puts smiles on their faces and wonder in their eyes.

Working for nearly 25-years as a magician and entertainer, Freddie has spent over a decade working alongside POD to provide uplifting and magical performances to children staying in hospital.
From clinics and playrooms to patients’ bedsides, Freddie’s dedication to bringing laughter and joy to young patients is admirable.

POD Children’s Charity is a nationwide charity founded in 1977 which organizes entertainment for children in hospital. It helps to alleviate the trauma of a hospital stay by sowing the seeds of fun, laughter and feeling better.
They deploy magicians, puppeteers, musicians, and clowns to create smiles, happiness and bring joy to the lives of children in hospital. This is now recognised to be of crucial value to these children. They give monthly shows in over 150 hospitals and hospices throughout the UK.
