Updated car parking charges

From 1 October 2025, car parking charges across Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals (DBTH) will be updated following a review of current arrangements.

This is only the second change since 2016, with the most recent update taking place in 2023. Charges remain competitive and have been benchmarked against other local and regional providers.

The new public parking tariffs will be:

  • Up to one hour: £2.00
  • Up to two hours: £3.20
  • Up to four hours: £4.70
  • Over six hours (daily rate): £8.90

Charges apply seven days a week at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Bassetlaw Hospital and Montagu Hospital, including bank holidays.

A range of concessions will continue to ensure that those visiting most frequently or under challenging circumstances are not financially disadvantaged. These include:

  • Disabled people – Free parking is provided for holders of a valid Blue Badge attending hospital as a patient or visitor. Disabled colleagues also receive free parking while on duty.
  • Frequent outpatient attenders – Those attending hospital at least three times within a 30-day period, across a minimum span of three months, are eligible for free parking.
  • End-of-life care visitors – Free parking is available for frequent visitors of patients receiving end-of-life care.
  • Evening and overnight parking – All sites offer free parking from 8.30pm to 7.30am with an hour’s grace either side of these times.

To further support access, the Trust operates a Park and Ride service between hospital sites and from Doncaster Racecourse, with shuttles running approximately every 20 minutes during the week.
