South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Acute Federation Annual Report

The Acute Federation is a collaboration of the Acute Trusts across South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw and the aim is that, by working more effectively together, we can improve clinical standards and the care outcomes for our patients, as well as making our organisations better places to work.

Our achievements in 2022/23 span a range of improvements for patients and staff and our Annual Report provides an overview of the progress made during the last 12 months. It discusses:

  • The expansion of diagnostic testing capacity through the launch of three new Community Diagnostic Centres to provide fast, convenient access to testing for the people of South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw
  • Increases in Elective care capacity for patients with the establishment of our Elective Orthopaedic Centres
  • Collaboration across our Trust using digital integration in a range of IT projects
  • Collaborative procurement efforts
  • Progress on our single South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Pathology service.

We are proud to have been part of this collaborative and to be seeing the benefits of working with our colleagues across the whole of South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw.
