Support for Veterans

Support is available for our military communities through the Trust and local and national providers.

DBTH is a Veteran Aware organisation

As a Veteran Aware organisation, we are committed to providing high-quality, equitable care for members of the Armed Forces community. We recognise the unique experiences and healthcare needs of veterans and ensure our staff are equipped to identify and support them appropriately. By encouraging patients to let us know if they have served in the Armed Forces, we can help connect them with specialist services where needed and ensure they are not disadvantaged when accessing NHS care. Our Veteran Aware accreditation reflects our ongoing commitment to treating veterans with respect, dignity and understanding, while continually improving the support and services we provide.

Find out more about the support the Trust provides on the Hospital Care for the Armed Forces Community page.

You can find out more about this accreditation on the Veterans Covenant Hospital Alliance website.
