Celebrating International Women’s Day

Today, we celebrate the significant contributions of women within our Trust and throughout the NHS.

Organisationally, we are proud that more than 80% of all colleagues here at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals are female, whilst this is also reflected within our Board of Directors with 60% of our most senior leaders being women.

I believe this only serves to highlight the integral and important role women play in our daily operations. From nurses, midwives and allied health professionals to doctors and administrative and support colleagues, it’s safe to say that women are the backbone of our healthcare system.

Beyond our walls, women also proudly continue to shape and drive progress within the NHS nationally.

In short, your commitment ensures that healthcare remains accessible and effective for all and your hard work, expertise, and dedication are essential to providing quality care to our patients.

On this day, I want to express my sincere gratitude to all the amazing women of Team DBTH and to women across the NHS.

Thank you for your dedication and enjoy your day!
