Tell us about your journey into the NHS and what you would do differently, if anything?
I joined the NHS straight from University – personnel (old speak for HR) seemed a good career to get into with the option of working in any sector but actually when it came to it I have never left the NHS enjoying the links between people and patients ensuring we can provide excellent patient care.
If you were stuck in a lift with anybody who would it be and why?
My son, in the sense that lockdown would be over and I could get a chance to see him and have a proper conversation with him.
Your most inspirational female icon, past or present?
Helen Sharman, first British astronaut.
What is your favourite food and most disliked, and why?
Most disliked food and why tripe – too slimy.
Do you have any phobias?
No.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
I knew I didn’t want to be a teacher as had seen my mum doing that job. Thought I wanted to be a bilingual secretary when I chose my A levels but then changed your mind.
Tell us something funny about yourself?
Not sure its funny but I love fast cars and motorbikes and used to get very muddy and wet watching my son do endurance motorbike racing.
