COVID-19 changes to community midwifery care

Due to the developing COVID-19 situation, we are changing the way we provide routine community midwifery care.

From Monday 23 March, please do not attend any community midwife appointments at family hubs, children’s centres or GP surgeries. Instead, please await a telephone call from a community midwife which you should receive with 24 hours of your pre-booked appointment.

We will carry out a telephone consultation with you and arrange further care as required. These appointments may not be held in your usual centre but will be in your local area as much as possible.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding at this time. These measures are to ensure we can continue to offer support and care to all our mums and babies through this challenging time.

If you have any urgent pregnancy concerns please call our 24 hour triage service on 01302 642711/2.

For non-urgent pregnancy related queries please contact the community midwives hub between 9am and 5pm on 01302 642794.

If you have recently changed your telephone number please contact the community midwives hub to update this.
