Mary hasn’t been well and sadly was placed on an end of life care plan at our hospital due to how poorly she has been – but she wasn’t having any of it. Mary fought her way back to health and, ultimatley, her husband and the love of her life today as she returned home. They have been together for 75 years and married for 72, and have six children and 69 grand and great grandchildren, the oldest being 48 and the youngest just eight days old.
We want to thank David, Mary and family for sharing this moment with us. We also want to share our deep thanks with our Surgical Assessment Ward team and End Of Life teams who supported this amazing individual every step of the way.
