This is not just another afternoon tea – this is a rare chance to step inside one of North Nottinghamshire’s most exquisite and private country houses, usually reserved only for weddings and select private events.
Guests will enjoy exclusive access to Hodsock Priory’s historic house, celebrated gardens, and enchanting woodland walks – areas that are ordinarily closed to the public.

Nestled perfectly between Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Bassetlaw Hospital, Hodsock Priory has been home to the Buchanan family for nine generations. The estate is a stunning example of 19th-century grandeur, complete with breathtaking grounds lovingly designed by the late Lady Buchanan.
“This is a unique opportunity to experience the beauty and history of Hodsock Priory in a way that very few ever do,” said Sarah Dunning, Fundraising Manager for Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Charity. “It’s the first time we’ve hosted an event of this kind as part of our NHS Big Tea celebrations – and it promises to be truly unforgettable.

“Places are limited, and we expect tickets to be in demand, so early booking is essential to avoid disappointment.”
Guests will be treated to a luxurious afternoon tea, featuring a selection of sandwiches, freshly baked scones, indulgent sweet treats, and unlimited tea and coffee, all set to the backdrop of live entertainment. Most importantly, every ticket purchased supports vital enhancements for patients and staff across Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals.

Last year, generous supporters helped raise over £1,200 through NHS Big Tea events. This year, alongside the Hodsock event, the Charity continues to encourage local communities to host their own NHS Big Tea celebrations, whether that’s a bake sale at work or an afternoon tea at home.
Tickets are £40 per person and can be booked online now: https://fundraise.dbthcharity.co.uk/event/afternoon-tea-at-hodsock-priory
