Strike action comes to an end

We are pleased to announce that, following further talks with the Trust, Sodexo and our union colleagues, an agreement has been reached to implement the 2018 Agenda for Change pay rates for catering staff.

This means that the related industrial action is now at an end.

These new pay rates are effective from 1 April 2018 and will be implemented by the end of June 2019 along with a one-off payment for the back-dated pay difference since 1 April 2018.

Ensuring colleagues are treated fairly and with respect is intrinsic to the values we hold as a Trust and we are pleased with this outcome. We would also like to thank Team DBTH for their continued hard work throughout the period of action in ensuring high quality patient care was maintained and disruption kept to a minimum.
