As you may already be aware, Sodexo catering staff will be undertaking industrial action on the following dates throughout May:
- 1 to 3 May
- 7 to 9 May
- 15 to 17 May
- 20 to 22 May
We have been working very closely with Sodexo and our union colleagues to ensure, as much as possible, that there is minimal disruption to services, and staff will be available to provide essential patient meal services.
This means that there will be a hot lunch offer available to all patients while the evening meal will consist of cold choices for patients selecting from the standard menu. All patients requiring any special diets will not have menu disruptions. For staff and visitors, there will be limited retail options available on the following sites:
Doncaster Royal Infirmary: Subway will be open 7am to 9pm and Costa Coffee will be open 7am to 3pm. Bassetlaw Hospital: The Hot Kitchen will be open 8am to 6.30pm. Montagu Hospital: The restaurant will be open 9am to 2pm.
Please note: As we are expecting picket lines to be organised near entrances to our sites, please ensure ample travelling time when coming to and from hospital appointments or visits.
