Throughout the Trust over 460,000 examinations are carried out each year.

The departments at Doncaster, Bassetlaw and Mexborough are open 365 days of the year.  Patients are referred to us from wards, A & E, Out Patient Clinics, General Practitioners (GPs) and Dentists. X-Rays are also taken at Retford Hospital.

Radiographers are highly trained professionals who have undergone three years of study at University and hold a degree.  They must also be state registered.  The directorate supports all its staff in undertaking further study to ensure that we provide an efficient service using up to the minute techniques and methods.

Patients can attend at any of the Trust sites regardless of where they live for x-ray providing they have a valid request card (it does not have to be from this Trust, request cards from other Hospitals will be accepted at any of the Trust sites).  However, not all examinations are performed on every Trust site.  To see what is available at which site see the links below.
