Ill or injured?

Health services across Doncaster and Bassetlaw are working slightly different following the pandemic. Please ensure you know what is available to you, should you become ill or injured.

Note: If you have coronavirus symptoms and need medical help for any reason, do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. If you have symptoms of coronavirus (a high temperature, a new, continuous cough or a loss or change in sense of smell or taste), use the 111 coronavirus service.

There are a number of other healthcare services that people can use for minor ailments and injuries, such as walk-in centres, urgent care centres and minor injuries units. And pharmacists can give advice and over-the-counter treatments for coughs, colds and stomach upsets such as sickness and diarrhoea. If you become ill or injured, please ensure you make use of the services available to – particularly as we recover from COVID-19 and alternative working arrangements remain in place.
