Consultant Podiatric Surgeon Elected to Council of Royal College of Podiatry

Mr Tony Wilkinson, Lead Consultant Podiatric Surgeon, has been elected to the Council of the Royal College of Podiatry.

During his three-year tenure Tony will represent the voice of podiatric professionals in the strategic planning, promotion of diversity and inclusion and ensuring membership engagement of the podiatric profession.

Speaking about his appointment, Tony said: “I am delighted to be elected by my peers to sit as a council member. I have passion for driving the profession delivering high standards of advanced practice for all. Working with stakeholders to secure the future of Podiatry.”

The Royal College of Podiatry (RCPod) is the professional association and trade union for registered chiropodists and podiatrists in the United Kingdom.

Heather Jackson, Director of Allied Health Professions at the Trust, said: “It is fantastic to see our Allied Health Professionals representing and influencing at a national level and is testimony to Tony’s dedication and hard work. I am sure he will add huge value to the Royal College of Podiatry.”
