Clinical Therapies Admin team

The Clinical Therapies Admin Team are a “shining” example of what can be achieved when colleagues work together. During some challenging years while the admin review was taking place, the team have adapted and continued to work hard in a patient-focussed and inventive way.

They are innovative in their approach to problem solving and they have managed to reduce the number of patients that were unable to contact the booking office, improve the turnaround times for registering referrals and create a process to ensure that all data required by the CCG in line with the contract for Tier 3 Dietetics is captured. In addition to this, they support the Medical Division with knowledge and training of SystmOne to help improve processes for Rehab patients at Mexborough The team have great comraderie and spirit and have worked relentlessly, at times out of their comfort zones, to make changes and improvements to support the therapy team and our patients.

IT Programme and Development team

The IT Programme and Development Team have been at the forefront of delivering IT enabled improvement and change throughout the Trust in the past 12 months. The team have identified solutions to issues to improve efficiency, effectiveness and quality of service for patients.

The team have developed strong working relationships with colleagues at Nott’s County Council and Yorkshire and Humber Care Record (YHCR) who are developing the ability to seamlessly share patient level data across the ICS. The implementation of bed management and Hospital@ has delivered more effective, digitally enabled ways of working across the Trust. The team delivered these two initiatives with a modest increase in resource whilst delivering a number of on-going projects which were significant in their own right (e.g. finalising ICE deployment).

Communications and Engagement team

Always seeking to make improvements to how they do things this team constantly asks for customer feedback, acting on it to try and ensure internal communication is inclusive and wide-reaching.

The team has redesigned the Trust’s website and extranet, created a staff social media group with over 3,000 staff members, increased the Trust’s press release output to ensure DBTH is represented in the media and lead on a number of communications campaigns including the flu campaign. The team actively supports each other on a daily basis which has lead to successful projects such as the launch of the DBTH Charity and its associated branding, all while maintaining regular newsletters, the FOI function and other engagement events.

Good luck to our nominees and follow the action on #DBTHStars!
