Along with family and friends, staff from Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH), Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals (DBTH) and NHS Doncaster Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) marched in the colourful procession through the town centre.
The organisations also hosted a health information stand in Sir Nigel Gresley Square showcasing a range of Doncaster health services including Project3, a Young People’s Health and Wellbeing Service.
Jackie Pederson, Chief Officer at NHS Doncaster CCG, said: “We were delighted to work with our health and care partners to support Doncaster Pride 2019. It’s great to see everyone working together and have the opportunity to speak to so many Doncaster residents about health and care services available.”
Virginia Golding, RDaSH’s Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, said: “There was a fantastic NHS presence at Doncaster Pride. All of the NHS organisations joined forces to show their support for people who belong to the LGBTQ+ community. We gave lots of advice to visitors on the day and the staff joined the colourful parade to let everyone know that the NHS is an inclusive service provider and employer.”
