Our annual Star Awards celebrate the incredible colleagues and teams who provide outstanding care and support across Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals. The awards recognise the people who go above and beyond every day to make a positive difference for patients, families, visitors and colleagues.
The 2026 Star Awards will take place in early October.
Whether you received excellent care, experienced an act of kindness, or were supported by someone who made a difficult time a little easier, we’d love to hear your story and for you to nominate colleagues and teams.
The event is funded entirely through the generous support of local sponsors and income generated through the DBTH Staff Lottery, meaning no NHS funding used for patient care is spent on the awards.

Every day, thousands of colleagues across our hospitals support patients and families through some of the most important moments of their lives. Whether it’s delivering exceptional clinical care, offering reassurance during difficult times, providing outstanding support behind the scenes or simply showing kindness when it matters most, these moments deserve to be recognised.
