This is not a drop-in event. Each session will begin promptly with a short presentation about the Service Assistant role, followed by an opportunity to meet members of our Facilities team, ask questions and find out more about the recruitment process. We recommend arriving a few minutes before your session starts.

About the role
Service Assistants play an important role in helping to keep our hospitals safe, clean and welcoming for patients, visitors and colleagues. Their work supports infection prevention and helps ensure our clinical environments are maintained to a high standard every day.
We’re recruiting for Band 2 Service Assistant (Cleaning) positions based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
The vacancies available are:
- Part-time posts of 15 hours per week or less
- Morning shifts: 6.00am–9.00am
- Evening shifts: 5.00pm–8.00pm or 5.00pm–9.00pm
Applicants must be able to work the full shift pattern and days specified within the vacancy, including weekends and bank holidays where required.

How to find us
The event will take place in the Badminton Hall, D Block at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
Please enter the hospital via Gate 1 and make your way into D Block, the building immediately on your right. The Badminton Hall will be clearly signposted on the day. View the hospital map.
If you’re travelling by car, we encourage you to use our free Park and Ride service. The Park and Ride is located opposite Doncaster Racecourse on Leger Way and offers free parking and a free shuttle bus to Doncaster Royal Infirmary. The shuttle journey takes approximately 5–7 minutes, so please allow enough time to park and travel to the hospital before your session begins.
Frequently asked questions
Will interviews take place on the day?
No. Interviews will not be held during the recruitment event.
How do I apply for the role?
Attendees will be provided with an early application link during the event, allowing you to apply before the vacancies are advertised to the general public. The vacancies will then be advertised publicly the following day.
Do I need previous experience?
No. Full training will be provided, so previous cleaning experience is not essential.
Is there an age requirement?
There is currently no minimum age restriction. However, only a limited number of vacancies are suitable for applicants under the age of 18.
What if I’m interested in a different role?
