Diversions in place at DBTH

It is important that you are able to get to your appointment as easily as possible. Therefore any disruption will be kept to a minimum, ensuring your patient experience is unaffected by the works.

Improving the places we deliver care

As part of the Trust’s ongoing commitment to improve the hospital buildings and the places it delivers patient care, there will be ongoing construction works across its hospital sites.

Every care has been taken to minimise any disruption however, any potential issues arising from works will be shared here.

We ask that you please allow more time to get to your appointment.

Latest disruption updates

At DRI:

A road closure is in place on the DRI grounds from 16 May 2025 until Autumn 2026.

This disruption is due to essential building works taking place that will provide a brand new Department of Critical Care to the Doncaster Royal Infirmary site.

This means there will be no through route between Gate 5 and 6.

The closure affects a small section of road between South Block and Children’s Surgical Unit and will not affect parking or access to any departments on site. Pedestrian footpaths will remain open.

This information will also be shared on our social media channels, our Facebook page, on Instagram and Nextdoor.
