Online Breastfeeding course: an art that is learned together day by day

We provide a free online breastfeeding course for all pregnant mums. This course is suitable for pregnant mums and their partners and includes information about breastfeeding a new baby. It is like a private breastfeeding class in your own home that you can watch anytime day or night.

Free and easy to use, this antenatal and postnatal online breastfeeding course can be accessed on the go using your smartphone, tablet, laptop or PC .

This course aims to give you the building blocks to help you have a successful and enjoyable breastfeeding journey and covers a range of topics to help you get started with breastfeeding, including positioning, troubleshooting and where to get help.

Infant feeding team

DBTH have an infant feeding team which includes specialist infant feeding midwives at both sites and maternity support workers who have a specialist interest in infant feeding.

The Team also provide a specialist breastfeeding clinic to support mothers and babies up to 28 days. Just ask your midwife or maternity support worker to refer you.

Breastfeeding support in Nottinghamshire 

Notts Happy Baby Corner offer online support through Facebook with tips and ideas on how to work through the early days with a new baby. They share videos and latest research around breastfeeding to help you make an informed decision. Search ‘Notts Happy Baby Corner’ on Facebook.

Face-to-face breastfeeding support in Bassetlaw

Our BABES support group offers help and advice around any breastfeeding questions, worries or concerns you may have and also gives you an opportunity to meet and chat with other breastfeeding mums who may have similar experiences

Weekly sessions are held in the following Childrens Centres:

  • Manton Childrens Centre, Worksop – Tuesdays 09.30 – 11.00am Tel 0115 9773758
  • Harworth and Bircotes Childrens Centre – Wednesdays 09.30 – 11.00am Tel 0115 9773759
  • Hallcroft Childrens Centre, Retford – Tuesdays 1.00 – 2.30pm Tel 0115 9773754
