Joining the Library
To join the Library, ask staff on the enquiry desk for a registration form. You’ll need to show your staff or student ID or Trust library card.
Once registered, you’ll have access to all public libraries in Doncaster.
If you’re already a member of Doncaster Libraries, you can use your card here.
Is there an App?
Yes! – As it happens, there’s an app you can use to keep track of the books you’ve loaned from Doncaster Council libraries (this is separate from the MyCirqa app for keeping track of books from the DBTH Hospital library).
You can find more details about the app on the Council pages here
Library staff are available during normal opening hours to provide assistance or answer enquiries. You’re welcome to contact us in person, by telephone, or email your enquiry here.
Books, Audiobooks and DVDs
Members may borrow up to 20 books and eight audio items for three weeks, plus six DVDs for one week.
Search for items using the Doncaster Libraries catalogue here .
Items not in stock at DRI may be requested from other Doncaster libraries.
You can renew items in person, by phone or email, or via the Doncaster Libraries website – as long as they aren’t required by another reader.
Please note that Doncaster Libraries charge fines for overdue items.
Would you like something short, exciting and quick to read? Why not try a Quick Read?
Quick Reads aim to show that reading for pleasure is for everyone, whatever your interest and ability. A selection of Quick Reads, many of which are written by well-known authors, is now available from the Leisure Library – ask staff for details.
Doncaster Libraries offer four digital download services giving free 24 hour access to eBooks, eComics, eAudio and music downloads.
