VIRTUAL LIBRARY SERVICE

Please be aware that due to the current situation with COVID19, a 24/7 self-service is running at both our libraries. Although we have no staff on site, our team are delivering a virtual library service providing evidence searches, digital article supply, Open Athens & e-books.  We will continue to keep you up to date as much as possible.  If you need us or just want to ask anything – simply email us!

The Knowledge, Library & Information Service at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides a multi-professional service to all its staff and students as well as providing some services to other NHS Trusts and other organisations in the area.

We’re based at the Library & Learning Resource Centres (LLRC) at DRI and Bassetlaw hospitals.

What have we got?

We have a wide range of resources and services, from a quiet place to study, to an article / book request and evidence search services, access to electronic clinical and research databases and training to help you use them, not to mention good old fashioned books, which you can search for online – see below.

At DRI, we also have the Leisure Library – providing recreational reading in print, audio and digital formats, as well as DVD films and computers that are free to use, for all Trust staff, students and patients.

Who are we and what do we do?

We provide services to staff and students to support their education, training, research and continuing professional development. Our service also provides access to information, knowledge and quality evidence to support clinical and managerial decision making.

In addition, we also provide a range of health and well-being resources and materials to support staff and their families plus health information and recreational reading services for both patients and staff to support health and well-being.

How to find us:

Doncaster Royal Infirmary: You can find the Library & Learning Resource Centre (LLRC) on the ground floor of the hospital (opposite The Education Centre).

Bassetlaw Hospital: You can find the Library & Learning Resource Centre based in The Hub on the second floor of the hospital.

Leisure Library: This library provides recreational and health and well-being library services for staff and patients and also offers additional PC access, Wi-Fi and study space. Find it at DRI, downstairs from the LLRC. For more information, click here.
