Want to join the Library? Need a book, article or evidence search?
Joining the Library
Whether you’re staff or a student, whichever site you’re based at, you can join the Library, and also get 24 hour access at DRI & Bassetlaw hospitals for free.
All you need to do is fill in a short application form & return it to us – click the picture or here to go straight to our forms page.
Book, Article or Evidence Search* requests?
We’ve got a form for that too – just click the picture or here and choose the form you need.
*BUT! Please be aware that if the Evidence Search is for a course you’re on – we can’t do it for you, unless your supervisor is happy for you to credit us for finding the evidence you used – and we’re guessing they won’t be!
However, we can arrange a training session to teach you how to conduct a basic search yourself – allow 1-2 hours and contact Sarah Gardner firstname.lastname@example.org or Dave Ashbey email@example.com to book a session.
What have we got?
We have a wide range of resources and services, from a quiet place to study, to an article / book request and evidence search services, access to electronic clinical and research databases and training to help you use them, not to mention good old fashioned books, which you can search for online – see below.
At DRI, we also have the Leisure Library – providing recreational reading in print, audio and digital formats, as well as DVD films and computers that are free to use, for all Trust staff, students and patients.
Want to check if we have a book you need?
Use our online catalogue to:
1. Browse and search for books, e-books, journals, e-journals and other materials we hold
2. Check your borrowing record, renew books online and reserve items
3. Search the Trust Publications Register
To open it, click the picture or here.
Who are we and what do we do?
We provide services to staff and students to support their education, training, research and continuing professional development. Our service also provides access to information, knowledge and quality evidence to support clinical and managerial decision making.
In addition, we also provide a range of health and well-being resources and materials to support staff and their families plus health information and recreational reading services for both patients and staff to support health and well-being.
